Here in the bubble there are all sorts of things you can do. We have a few rules and we have a few unspoken standards but we are a friendly place for humans in financial services to vent and venture into, looking for advice. We don’t welcome posts written by AI.
To get started, we suggest you:
Say something.
You can either say something under an existing thread or you can start your own. Anything is better than nothing.
Like something . This is an alternative if you are shy.

As a Finance Director and Chartered Accountant, I look forward to contributing insights on audit strategy, IFRS, and financial leadership across MENA.
Excited to explore this community and connect with fellow professionals.
I have a question for sales trader. Considering the impact of A.I., what is the added value of your job? Do you think one day machines will replace all what you do?
Hey Everybody! Glad to be part of this Community. I’m a Sales Director/Regional Customer Support Supervisor at a brokerage company. Looking forward to making contacts. Good luck!
In cybersecurity, experience isn’t just measured in years—it’s measured in judgment. Over the past 4 years in cybersecurity and ICT within IT-driven organizations, I’ve learned that protecting systems isn’t only about tools, frameworks, or compliance checklists. It’s about understanding risk, anticipating threats, and aligning security with real business objectives.
I’ve worked hands-on with security frameworks, policies, vulnerability assessments, audits, and operational controls, and what stood out to me most is this: “ Security works best when it enables the business, not when it slows it down”
I believe a strong security professional doesn’t just react to incidents—they build resilience, educate people, and continuously improve processes. From strengthening controls to translating technical risks into business language, my approach has always been to make security practical, sustainable, and trusted. I’m driven by curiosity, accountability, and the mindset that learning never stops in this field. Cyber threats evolve daily—and so should the people defending against them. Thanks
Wow, this is incredibly helpful—thank you so much! The level of detail and clarity in your explanation really shows how deep your expertise is. You’ve broken everything down in such an easy-to-understand way, and it’s saved me a huge amount of time. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better answer. Much appreciated!
Hello, I used to do financial due diligence in deal advisory at a big4, but I left that 9 years ago to do a PhD in computer science and have been in academia since. I’m now exploring options of how to combine them, perhaps in financial analytics, fraud or growth equity.
Also happy this platform looks like its built on Discourse, using which is something I’m interested in. cheers
