Any advice for starting my career in AI/ML?

Hi everyone! :waving_hand:

I’m currently starting my career in AI/ML and Python and would love to hear some advice from people who have already been through this stage.

I have a background in AI/ML and some hands-on experience with Python, Machine Learning, SQL, Flask, and related projects.

For someone just starting out, what would you recommend focusing on most to build a strong career?

Should I focus more on improving my technical skills, building better projects, getting internships, networking, or something else?

Also, what do you wish you had known when you were starting your own career?

Would really appreciate any honest advice or lessons from your experience!

Have you considered getting a job instead of asking strangers for handouts?

What are you contributing to this forum, to this industry, to the world? What are you doing?

Rude. @Vaibhavi_Suryawanshi my honest advice would be to get some more hands-on experience

Hello Kimberly

I am 66 years old interested to find a job in procurement related fields to continue my learning experience and earn money. I have had 4 years of break since my last job. Do I have a chance to find a job?

Thank you

Mohammadreza

Thanks, I appreciate the advice! I’m currently working on building more hands-on experience through projects and internships, so that’s definitely something I’m focusing on.
