I am someone who wants to change careers. Not sure if this is the right folder to insert my question, but here we go: Anyone has worked for Bloomberg? What’s their company culture like? What’s the most difficult department to get into? And the easiest?
I met a guy who worked tech in Bloomberg around a year or two ago. He had bounced around FS industry before going to Bloomberg, where he was there around five years (when I spoke to him, not sure if he still is there). It was his longest single role at the time, I think.
He seemed to really like it, and he recommended I join if I can (I’m not in tech). From the way he spoke, it seemed that referrals were important there. From what he said, it’s also VERY corporate across the board - suits and ties are very much a non-negotiable norm.
Hope this helps! Sorry about the weird French guy, not sure why they’re letting him spam like this.
