Recruitment consultancy issue

A tech consultancy can easily replace you if they want to impress the client with a cheaper resource who is more robotic than you giving ‘n’ blah blah reason in talking and no written proof. All this after onboarding . is it even legal.? what’s the value of the job contract then? Any idea?

Do you mean that a tech consultancy hired you, onboarded you, and then found a more pliable and cheaper person to do the job instead? That does sound very frustrating. Were you in a probation period?

Correct. The new resource had been on job hunt for a long time and agreed to lower pay with immediate joining. No , there was nothing as probation period in the contract. Indeed frustrating when you left your stable previous contract for the new opening and got played, even tough giving best to the new position. and why won’t any new joiner give their best to a new position in a bigger company than the previous one? This is the most Narcissistic recruitment Agency seen in my entire career. Lot of blame game and gaslighting as if all fault was of the candidate. I want to let people know that this also happens!

So, a recruitment consultancy has itself treated you - a recruiter - badly. People are always asking for the industry to be better regulated. This happens everywhere though and is one of the perils of probation periods. Particularly annoying to be undercut by someone willing to work less.
