Tax free yields on gilts

Most on here will know this but just in case as we head into the dreaded UK tax return deadline at end of January. If you buy/bought gilts the yield (the difference between what you pay and what you receive at maturity) is tax-free. The coupon interest is not however. So look for a low coupon gilt in say the 2-5 year maturity bracket. This is all apart from the ISA allowances. FWIW. Happy New Year shortly :grinning_face:
