This could be a poll, but I think I’ll keep it open ended this time for fear of corralling devoted followers into a cul de sac where they all press for M&A or hedge funds or something top of mind and the subject of small thoughts in the passing moments.

What is your dream career?

What is it that occupies your innermost feelings when those feelings are ranging beyond the here and now? Is it even a career? Maybe it’s just a job. Is it in banking and financial services? No need to restrain yourself.

All answers below. I am hoping for something to inspire and entice me. Please don’t mention AI.

Personally I am suggesting something intangible under a large sky. Cowboy.

It would have been lovely to have had my family work in a niche profession for hundreds of years and for me to inherit that business. Something like blacksmithing. Doubt there’s much money in that anymore besides making horseshoes

People make swords and stuff these days. Suits of armor. Not sure if they’re mass produced or still artisanal
