Best US firms to work for in London

The US firms tend to pay better in London, but usually at the expense of working longer hours and being stuck in a more toxic culture. European banks are nicer but don’t have the same prestige which I really want to prioritize at the moment.

Is there a happy medium out there where it opens doors like a US bank but is actually more laid back? Am I delusional to assume such a place exists?

May I suggest: A Japanese bank.

Failing that, JPMorgan has max 80-hour weeks.

Yeah I wouldn’t work at a US bank more than two years.

Two years at US bank, six/seven at a European bank (basically until 30) and then either looking for something MM or in corporate seems the golden path for sanity these days
