Mr Jobbly already has a friend, it is me  back off!!!

I am afraid that I do not have much bandwidth for casual chat. Can you describe three things you like about this job?

Pride, Hubris, Vanity

These days not really, everyone is a new person regardless you’ve known them for years, there are jobs as people reach out weekly, but they’re only 150-200k not real HFT/Quant/Portfolio, the past year they “reschedule” calls at the last minute.

If you’ve been around the Dutch you understand the concept of “power play”, not occasionally but every single time, now have a one and done approach, usually take the calls as can pass off to others in the network but it rarely gets that far, the same role you can have a recruiter taking 10% and another taking 50-100%, understand this.

These days roles go out everywhere to everyone, little exclusivity, if one recruiter is unprofessional just go to the next one, everyone is offensively being treated as commodity today, just defensively invert it, you’ll have a better quality of life.

You can tell a lot about a recruiter by the jobs they send you. Ask them why they recommended that job specifically and, if you know any other roles they’re recruiting for, ask why you’re a better fit for one than the other. Their answer should tell you whether they actually know what you do or whether they’re a keyword merchant
