Why do people work on their laptops during rush hour traffic?

Seriously. Train is packed, there’s no room to swing a goldfish, and people have iPads out or even laptops, STANDING, and going over some stupid presentation or report, adding notes to it.

Firstly, your job isn’t that important. It can wait. Your life is awful - we get it.

Second, how selfish are you? People are scrambling for space as it is.

Thirdly, how much of a narcissist are you to be proud of being a consultant or something? lol

I second that. It drives me crazy. Honestly we had one such person today. I was so close to actually slapping him. Probably something to do with their inferiority complex.

On a packed train standing I don’t, but if there is space I will. Most stuff on PowerPoints is completely ignored. Topics of meetings change to what people want to talk about …. Generally creating presentations is done to keep middle management happy and stop them nagging you.

Why waste time at home or at work to produce junk when I can do this in dead time on the train.

During Rush Hour traffic I wouldn’t conduct work while going home after a Full’s day work.

That could be thought of as me time winding down, taking a break tending to family.

Sometimes an urgency occurs only then would I send a response for work related business.
