Everything BNP does is about Barclays. Revenue? Only has to beat Barclays. Profit has to beat Barclays. League table position? Only has to be above Barclays. BNP itself could crash and burn and as long as Barclays crash and burn worse, all is hunky dory.

I take it you work for BNP. All these European banks are obsessed with each other because they are all B-players dancing around the high street handbag while the US banks are at a different disco competing with Citadel Securities
