Because it is all too clear that I will never succeed here based upon merit but merely upon my willingness to be utterly obsequious to a man for whom I have no respect. This is a terrible way to live a life

The world is your oyster, Milton. Nothing is stopping you from moving to a moor and eating freshly caught hare, berries, mugwort teas etc.
