I’ve been applying for jobs for a few months now but have faced rejection after rejection. In many cases I’m simply ghosted by companies that don’t even have the decency to send an automatic rejection email.
How do you try and keep the job search feeling fresh? After how many failed cold applications do you revise your CV or try something adventurous with your cover letter? Is posting the same thing over and over again actually the best method?

Yeah, ghosting is the new rejection. Getting an email rejection is a step up from that. It’s a genuine win, even if a small one

I asked a friend who was job-applying recently out of curiosity about his responses breakdown (he tracks it via spreadsheet) and it was roughly:
~100 applications
~55 ghosted outright
~40 rejected
~5 Interviews (2 from referrals)
~2 Offers (both from the referrals)

Sound about right. 100+ apps is table stakes these days for an offer…

There is no point in making job applications now. Use your life in a different way my friend
