I’d do the secret one that only recruiters can see. Tbh, if you put up the fully blown #OpenToWork banner when that’s an alternative option, it really does look quite desperate
There are plenty of more egregious things you can do on your LinkedIn. I saw one person put Goldman Sachs in their experience section because they interviewed for a role there (this may have been a joke but I wouldn’t put it past some people)
open to work looks a bit desperate but there’s a lot of interesting people i see on there who have the banner up. I guess if you’re an active poster on the site, it’s fine, but if you don’t have much presence on there it can be jarring.
It’s literally shouting into the void if you put it up. Nobody has actually got a meaningful job through #OpenToWork
It’s the equivalent of putting your instagram in your Bumble bio #Gross
