I’m at one of the many companies bringing staff back into the office more. On my floor the toilets routinely get grim over the course of the day.
Do we just not hire enough cleaning staff? Or is everyone being in the office just making the place disgusting?

The issue of dirty office toilets isn’t just a post-pandemic phenomenon. After so much time away, it seems that some people have forgotten the basic etiquette of sharing a communal space. Maybe back to office policy should include basic toilet training. Maybe an external consultancy should be hired to conduct this training.
These excuses drive me mad.

Cleaners are one of the jobs that can’t be outsourced to India, so there are simply fewer of them. Bring your own toilet roll coming soon.

Honestly I have been thinking the same. Actually, I had thought that recruiting should include a few toilet tests, possibly video recorded, to filter out anyone who is so disrespectful of communal spaces or incapable of the minimum hygiene standards. It makes me cringe knowing that my officemates are so dirty.

Firms don’t care. Best thing to do is go to ExCo floor to use the bathroom.
