Yes, during covid-19 when all positions were freezed everywhere. People and operations have changed, and don’t expect the same acquaintance as used to be. My experience was just to get the job done!

This can work but it’s very situationally dependent. It really depends whether your return is seen as a defeat (couldn’t cope anywhere else) or a victory (you are returning with knowledge from elsewhere). I’ve seen both cases. In the first, the previous team has no respect for the returnee and the person will usually leave again within 12 months
